The Pella School Board will approve the teacher salary settlement at their meeting Monday. The board will review a 3.29% total increase for staff tentatively agreed to by administration and a panel of educators on February 21st. If approved, the change represents a $470,000 increase in salaries and benefits in the next fiscal year.
Additionally, the board will consider health and dental insurance renewal and review a policy for stock prescription medication supply.
A presentation will also be given by the City of Pella on the proposed recreation center at the Pella Sports Park and all district administrators will give their monthly updates about ongoing activities in the district.
The Pella School Board meeting will begin with a closed session at 4:00 Monday in the Pella High School Main Office Conference room, to be followed by regular business at 4:30 p.m. Currently, the board is scheduled to consider approval of a tentative settlement agreement in relation to the closed meeting — but no additional details have been released.
