Knoxville Middle School students who have been part of the Winter Theatre Experience performed their plays for the Knoxville Elementary students from North and West Thursday morning. The performance was held at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center. It was a series of three short plays, “The Cow Said Neigh,” “Dancing, Prancing Lily,” and “The Tawny Scrawny Lion.”
Marty Adkins, who helps direct the performances tells KNIA/KRLS News, “I think in the end they had a performance that I think will be a happy memory for them. And that’s kind of what we hope to get done with community theater.”
Knoxville Area Community Theater members Marty Adkins and Justin Lenger worked with students Noah Bauer, Tristan Bauer, Jade Raney, Jazmine Sedlock, Julianna Sedlock, Joel Swartzendruber and Anna Greenlee.
Adkins said he has had middle school students put on plays six of the past eight years.
