A proposed Knoxville Education Association and Knoxville Community School District Master Contract agreement was approved through June of 2025 with a few exceptions at the Monday School Board Meeting.
Craig Mobley, Knoxville Business Manager, tells KNIA/KRLS News, “We are happy to ratify our tentative agreement and get that done. Basically, what that means is we’ve settled on our salaries for next year. We’re aging our salary schedule which basically gives everybody their year of experience. We’re adding $500 on our base salary which equates to about a 3.25 percent salary increase for all teachers.”
Mobley added that it is a lot more than what Knoxville has been able to offer the past few years, especially adding to the base salary. Mobley feels it’s a win-win, good for the teachers and good for the district to remain competitive with teacher salaries.
The next school board meeting slated for March 13 has been moved to March 20. March 13 is during Spring Break.
