Tulip Time is fast approaching, and the Tulip Time Steering Committee needs help with parking. Those who know of any individuals, groups, businesses, or organizations that would be interested in “staffing” a barricade, the community needs 12 barricades staffed daily to help with traffic and public safety. Joel Bennett with the Tulip Time Steering Committee says those who handle parking areas are paid positions, starting at $10 per hour. Each barricade needs five volunteers per day, and each “shift” is three hours. All that is required is a person to allow authorized vehicles entry and exit of roped-off areas.
