Five individuals and one relay team will represent the Central College track and field program at the 2023 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.

The national meet is to be held in Birmingham, Alabama this Friday and Saturday.

The women’s distance medley relay squad of Megan Johnson, Abbi Roerdink, Peyton Steffen and Pella alum Caroline McMartin qualified Friday night at the Wartburg Final Qualifier.

McMartin also qualified as an individual in the 3,000-meter run. Abby Marr will represent the women’s team in the weight throw.

On the men’s side, Sam Beatty is the No. 3 qualifier in the high jump. Adam Sylvia in the mile run and Lucas Heitz in the heptathlon are Central’s other two individual qualifiers.
