After approving the teacher settlement package for 2023-24 last week, the Pella School Board approved the rest of the district’s increases at Monday’s meeting. The board approved new salaries for all hourly staff, support workers, building administrators, and others not teaching full time, which all fell between 3.1% (administration) to 3.82% (some hourly staff). There were also some adjustments made based on a comparability review with similar sized districts in Iowa. An annual renewal of Ebeling’s contract was approved as well, with a 3.1% increase approved by the board from 2022-23. A spring break 2024 trip for the Pella High School orchestra to travel to Chicago was given the go ahead, as was a device refresh for one-to-one computers at Pella High School that will cost $289,600.
