The Indianola wrestling team had their season come to a close at Wells Fargo Arena at the state meet in February, seeing several competitors face off against the best in the state and watching Bowen Downey earn a runner-up finish in class 3A. Head coach Clint Manny said without the support from the parents and community, the success for the team would be much harder to come by.

“A shout out to all of our parents and supporters of our program. We are a family here with our program. It’s a bumpy road, and sometimes you are deep down in the valleys but that is how you get to those mountaintops when you are battle tested and you get through a long grueling season like this. From kindergarten through their 12th grade year, I think we have a pretty special program here at Indianola and I look forward to watching these guys at the college level if they are competing there.”

The Indians graduate a senior class of six.
