One of the highlights of the Knoxville Girls Basketball season was a late season win over Oskaloosa. Most of the Panthers non-conference games were against teams from the Little Hawkeye Conference which they went 4-1 against. Coach Matt Ritchhart tells KNIA/KRLS Sports along with the teams from the L-H-C, their non-conference record of 6-3 made for a successful season for the Panthers.
“To go on the road against them, and get a win. I felt like we controlled the game. We also got wins against Pella Christian, and twice against Newton, we also beat a good PCM team so I think those non-conference wins made for a successful year.”
Knoxville finished third in the South Central Conference at 9-5, and that was different this season with the addition of Cardinal. Knoxville finished up overall with a 15-8 record.
