The Indianola Police Department’s annual report was submitted to the Indianola City Council earlier this week, featuring not only the numbers of callouts and activity over the year of 2022, but highlighted successes of the department.

Chief Brian Sher tells KNIA News he is happy with how the department conducted themselves through a lot of transition over the last year, including former Chief Button’s retirement, a new city manager, and staffing increases. Chief Sher also said the addition of body cameras was something he is proud to have implemented, as the body cameras not only provide more transparency, but protect the officers and department.
