Girls track and field athletes from a plethora of local schools competed at the IATC Indoor Track and Field Championships at Iowa State University Thursday, earning several top 10 finishes against some of the top competition in the state.
The Pella girls Sprint Medley team of Delanie Reynolds, Kamryn Long, Marissa Hackman, and Jacie Trine placed 7th, while the 4×100 relay team of Mollie Renaud, Reynolds, Long, and Hackman placed 8th to pace the top finishes for the Dutch.
Josie McGraw had a 4th place finish in the 60m Hurdles for the Indianola girls squad, while the girls Shuttle Hurdle team of Sully Downey, Madison Rogers, Keela Matthias, and McGraw earned an 8th place finish.
The Norwalk girls Shuttle Hurdle team earned a 4th place finish, with Kate Desmond, Shae Ung, Juliana Warren, and Keara Arnold running a 41.04, while Warren placed 10th individually in the 60m Hurdles.
The 60m Hurdles continued to see top finishes from local athletes, as PCM’s Morgan Karr had a 5th place finish with a time of 9.43 seconds, while the Shuttle Hurdle team of Tori Lindsay, Jorja Teeter, Lillian Humpal, and Morgan Karr earned an 8th place finish.
No team scores were kept at the meet. Boys teams compete at the meet today, including athletes from Pella, Pella Christian, Indianola, Norwalk, PCM, and Pleasantville. Find full results below.
