A group of Melcher-Dallas students were recently recognized for success in the subject of math at the high school level.
For the second year in a row Melcher-Dallas was crowned the Bluegrass Conference Math Champions.
Their teacher, Mrs. TeAnna Hasso tells KNIA/KRLS News how nice it was to win, “It’s been really cool we’ve participated for seven, eight years now, and the last two years we’ve come in first place. It’s really cool to see because when we started this we were right in the middle with where we placed and every year we’ve just grown until we finally hit the top and that says a lot. Time invested is really starting to show that the kids are responding and learning the material.”
One of the Melcher-Dallas students, Brooklyn Metz tells KNIA/KRLS News for the most part math comes easy for her but she likes to be challenged.
Team members in the photo include Jalyssa Juline, Easton Juline, Hayden Branson, Karsyn Mateer, Reece Chiabotta and Brooklyn Metz.
