The Melcher-Dallas Girls basketball Squad played an incredible 14 games in the month of January this season. Many of which were scheduled, a few were make-up games from December, and a few more were extra games as the Saints advanced through the Bluegrass Conference Tournament. This was the strongest the Saints were 8-6 during the month and Coach Kelsey Goff tells KNIA Sports, she was proud of her team for attacking the month of January and putting together a nice stretch of games.

Goff: “It was good to see that they kept with it and they took it to heart as car as conference seeding and that definitely helped.”

One of the highlights was avenging a loss to Mormon Trail. The Saints lost to the Saints on January 17th 59-53 then less than a week later in the conference tournament downed Mormon Trail 44-39. Another highlight was beating their arch-rival Twin Cedars on the final day of January. Melcher-Dallas finished with a winning season at 13-11.
