The Indianola City Council reviewed an upcoming new construction plat at their most recent meeting, that included a review of the new construction that is outside of the city’s primary expansion area. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News the city is just doing its due diligence on the housing growth, and making sure they will be able to meet the needs of the eventual area.

“We just wanted to ensure that when we are planning the area, any kind of right-of-way is retained by the city so we have good connectivity for the transportation needs. So that has been reviewed by the city staff and council, and approved so the city has any kind of right-of-way access that it needs.”
