The 20th annual Garden Gala is set for April 1 at Dyer-Hudson Hall In Knoxville. 

Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. according to Sandra Chrisman, who has been working with the Garden Gala for the past 20 years as a charter member of the Knoxville Federated Garden Club. Mary Dee Dykstra is the chairman for the group and Lois Davis is the President.

There will be three speakers for the event, Derek McKay, a horticulturist; Dr. Russ Benedict, Professor of Biology at Central College and Marla Mertz, Marion County Conservation Naturalist. 

There is a registration fee and Chrisman tells KNIA/KRLS News, “Our fee is $40, that includes our morning coffee and includes our lunch, vendors and our speakers and lots of good time.”

Registration fees can be sent to Knoxville Federated Garden Club, PO Box 645 in Knoxville.
