With only nine girls on the Twin Cedars Girls Track and Field Squad, the Sabers will likely be going more for individual glory than a team title. While the Sabers are small in numbers, Coach Cam Parker tells KNIA/KRLS Sports they will try to finish as high as possible.

Parker: “You’re going to have a shot to win it. It’s going to be tricky for us with a lot of good teams, we’re looking to finish in the middle of the pack, and if we have a good day maybe finish close to the top, of course if we have a bad day we could finish lower. We just have to put the right girls in the the events they excel at and see what we can do.”

The Bluegrass Conference Meet is scheduled for May 2nd in Lamoni.
