The Simpson Storm softball team stayed hot in their non-conference schedule, sweeping Greenville 10-1 and 4-3 in a doubleheader heard live on 94.3 KNIA.

The Storm brought out the big bats early in the first contest, with senior Maddie Luderman hitting a two-run and a three-run home run in each of her first two at bats, and Caelynn Obleton hitting a pair of RBI singles as they built a 7-0 lead after the first two innings. Taryan Barrick-Wessels was unhittable in the circle to get the win, going six innings giving up just one hit and striking out four as the game ended in five innings.

Game two was a much scrappier win, as Simpson fell behind 2-0 early before a Lexi Ehlers two-run home run tied the score, and another Obleton RBI single put the Storm out in front for good. Another Obleton RBI put Simpson up 4-2, and they would get the final three outs after a leadoff home run in the seventh by the Panthers to earn the win.
Luderman had three hits and five RBI, Obleton had four hits and four RBI, and Cameron Martin had a 3-3 day in game two.

Simpson is now 14-4 on the season.
