Simpson College held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new turf fields for McBride Field and the Simpson Softball Stadium on Saturday. Athletic Director Marty Bell tells KNIA News the fields are part of an overall effort to upgrade the facilities at Simpson that included upgrades to Cowles Fieldhouse, the wrestling room, and now the turf for the baseball and softball teams among others, making Simpson a better destination for students.

Simpson is also in the process of expanding Dunn Library, a $10.5 million project that will produce a new home for Simpson’s teacher education program.
