Severe Weather Awareness Week continues in Iowa. When it comes to responding to disasters, including those that are weather-related, Emergency Management agencies play a significant role. Assistant Marion County Emergency Management Director Emily Feagins says whenever danger is present or expected, they get the word out by contacting KNIA/KRLS.

Feagins tells KNIA/KRLS News, “So we’re leading into storm season here. A great time of year, spring is upon us the birds are chirping but along with that comes severe weather.”

KNIA/KRLS will provide Severe Weather Action Team coverage anytime a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning is issued for any portion of Marion or Warren Counties.
