The Knoxville Police Department partnered with Hy-Vee for an event called Cookie with a Cop. The event started Wednesday and runs through Sunday, April 2nd.

Knoxville Police Chief Aaron Fuller said there is a big display once you enter Hy-Vee. The display is of cookies of chocolate chips and M&M’s.

Fuller tells KNIA/KRLS News, “Each package is $5 and the proceeds that Hy-Vee makes off of that they are going to donate to the police department, and that’s going to go to the Knoxville Police Department Reserves. They play a significant role in our community as well as the Police Officer’s Association.”

Fuller added that Hy-Vee has just been a wonderful partner for the department.

Officers were at Hy-Vee Wednesday to take photos and tame the Cookie Monster. Fuller said Sunday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Hy-Vee will have their Easter event. The Easter Bunny will be there, so will the Cookie Monster as well as a couple of officers to talk and hang out with the community.
