Results from the 2023 South Central Conference (SCC) Academic Bowl held in Knoxville last Friday are in. Each of the schools in the South Central Conference took part, with most of the schools fielding two teams in the event. Lisa Hermsen was Knoxville’s Academic Sponsor.

Knoxville had two teams in the competition. The Knoxville Gold team finished in seventh place while the Knoxville Black team was 13th overall. The Knowledge Bowl was dominated by students from Chariton as the Chariton A team won the event while the Chariton B team was second.

The 2023 SCC All-Conference Academic Bowl Team was announced with 12 individuals on the team. Making the top team from Knoxville was Ryan Grinstead.

Participating for Knoxville Gold: Ryan Grinstead, Kailan Ethell, Kaden McGill, Tyler Conner, Max Rockwood and Ciara Heffron and Knoxville Black: Tristan Mobley, Emily Humeston, Austin Bishop, Cooper Mattox, Zach Boender and Ryan Peralta.
