The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for all of central Iowa from 1 to 8 p.m.
This watch is for a “particularly dangerous situation,” as several tornadoes are expected across the state today, especially in the southeast quadrant of Iowa. Those with afternoon plans should consider staying home until the storms pass.
The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team is on the air for any severe thunderstorm or tornado warning for Marion and Warren Counties.
