Melcher-Dallas finally opens the spring sports season after sitting out week one of competition. The Saint track and field squads head to Meskwaki Settlement for a meet and for the girls, the Saints have a deeper unit and Coach Amy Stuart has more options to run some of her younger girls in relays.

Stuart: “I think that will be a great help with our incoming freshmen to help get more relay races, and help spread out points. I don’t know if we have anyone that will challenge in conference or district, but I think we’ll be able to score more points.”

Of the 17 girls that are out this season, ten are either freshmen or sophomores. Monday’s action is set to get underway at four-30.
