Monday kicks off the new season for the #6 in 1A Pella girls tennis team after severe weather delayed their Friday debut, and the deep Dutch girls will take on several 4A schools in their first outdoor track and field meet of the spring after a scheduled trek to DCG was cancelled Saturday.

The Dutch girls tennis team has several key returners, including two-time state qualifier Emily Blom, and Head Coach Josh McCollam is excited to see that depth on display. Ballard will be the foe, with matches beginning at 4:15 p.m. in Huxley.

Pella’s track and field girls had a strong start with the indoor season, and the depth of the team shown so far will be put to the test in a largely Class 4A field that includes the hosting Wolves, Valley, Johnston, Indianola, Dowling, and Cedar Falls, with 3A Bondurant-Farrar also joining the large field. The girls track meet at Waukee Northwest starts at 4 p.m.
