Crews responded to a house fire at 908 West Rock Island in Knoxville shortly after 8 a.m. this morning. Knoxville Fire Chief Cal Wyman tells KNIA/KRLS news when crews arrived smoke was coming out of the eaves. 

“The fire was in the kitchen in the ceiling area. They were able to get in there and make a quick stop of the fire.”

The major damage was in the kitchen area and no one  was injured. Knoxville Fire and Rescue, Knoxville Township Fire Department, the Knoxville Police Department, and Marion County Emergency Management responded to the scene.
