The Knoxville Noon Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. for children up to 12 years of age.
The event will be held at the corner of Lincoln and Madison Street. The first 400 children to check in will receive a starter bag provided by the sponsors of the event.
Curt Schwanebeck, one of the event organizers, tells KNIA/KRLS News, “It takes hours and hours of preparation for this thing. It’s amazing how 300 to 500 kids will pick up 10,000 eggs in a matter of a minute and a half, two minutes and it’s a clean field.”
He added the Easter Egg hunt is divided into age groups. Schwanebeck said this will be the second year where the hunt will include a special field for special needs children.
The Little Big Red Radio will be on hand to provide music for the fun day and to make announcements.
