A pair of Pella Police Officers officially joined the force at Tuesday’s Pella City Council meeting. Hunter Embray and Victor Garcia were both sworn into their new roles at the beginning of regular business this week. It’s a bit of a homecoming for both, Embray is a Twin Cedars High School graduate who has lived in Marion County for several years, and Garcia earned a degree from Central College. The duo are the fourth and fifth new hire made in the past year by the department, dating back to Mitchell Monarchino in August 2022, Mya Irlmeier in October 2022, and Shawn Mason in December 2022; the last two are currently in the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy. Hear more from Embray and Garcia on today’s Let’s Talk Pella.
