The Indianola Fire Department wants to remind Indianola residents about fire safety tips this spring. You should test and know what type of fire extinguisher you have in your home or work, because using the wrong type can be ineffective and dangerous. The fire extinguisher types fight fires that include ordinary, gas/diesel, electric, metals, and cooking oils, with some extinguishers being a combination and are able to put out multiple types of fires.
