The Simpson College softball team took game one against Grinnell, but saw a comeback attempt in game two fall just shy in doubleheader action, Wednesday, at the Simpson Softball Complex. The Storm would win game one 3-2 in a nailbiter, but fell 10-8 to the Pioneers in game two to get a split. Simpson is now 18-6, and will next play this Saturday in a doubleheader against Coe.

The Storm baseball team was defeated twice in a midweek American Rivers Conference doubleheader with Nebraska Wesleyan. The Prairie Wolves shut out the Storm 5-0 in the first game before claiming the doubleheader sweep with a 5-2 victory. Simpson is now 11-12 overall and 1-6 in the conference, and travels to Luther on Saturday.
