The Indianola boys soccer team dropped both games in a tournament at Urbandale Saturday, while the Indians girls track and field team placed 9th in a loaded meet at West Des Moines Valley.

The Indians soccer squad fell to Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln 1-0 to start the day, before falling 3-0 to the host J-Hawks. Indianola is now 1-3 on the season, and will next play at Oskaloosa on Tuesday.

The Indians throwers had a standout day for the squad, as Kendall McDaniel placed 2nd in the meet in the Shot Put with a throw of 38-09.25, while Abbie Kluver placed 2nd in the Discus with a throw of 117-06. Jordyn Brown placed 6th in the 800m, Josie McGraw was 4th in the 110m Hurdles, Cailey Baker 6th in the High Jump, the 4×800 Relay placed 4th, and the Shuttle Hurdle team placed 5th.
