A wide range of activities return to Pella for the 88th Tulip Time, which starts in just over three weeks.

Tulip Time Steering Committee Co-Chair Jon Witt says residents and visitors will have a wide range of Dutch-themed musical performances, food stands, markets, displays, and destinations to enjoy and visit over the three-day celebration. This includes the Dutch Family Singers, Pella Dutchesses, Pella High Orchestra Strolling Strings, an Organ Recital, and shows at the Pella Opera House and from the Union Street Players.

Afternoon and evening grandstand shows and parades are scheduled for all three days as well, according to Witt, with the Feesthouden featuring three different performers on the Tulip Toren, including Lutheran Church of Hope Worship Band on Thursday, the Sully Big Band on Friday, and Sam Moss Music on Saturday.

Six total parades are on the docket, and fireworks will follow Friday’s festivities. Witt says Friday the 5th is also the best day to see marching bands perform.
