The 70th Annual Knoxville Raceway opener is set for Saturday. All three sprint divisions will be in action with the 410s, 360s and the Pro Series all running. Gates are slated to open at 5:30 with hot laps at 6:00 p.m.
Knoxville Raceway General Manager Jason Reed tells KNIA/KRLS News that a good car count is expected for the season. He added, “I wouldn’t be surprised if we have 30 or maybe a few more in both the 410s and 360s and the Pro Sprints; they will be the smallest class. I’d guess around 15 or 16 of them probably.”
Practice Night at the facility will be Friday, the day before the opener starting at 7 p.m.
