The Knoxville High School Mock Trial team faced the State Champions, Ankeny High School, losing to them in Round one in Des Moines. Round two they beat Carlisle splitting ballots between judges. Round three they were defeated by Spencer High School.

Knoxville instructor Lisa Hermsen tells KNIA/KRLS News that Norah Pearson, Janie Maasdam and Celia Marean received All-State Honorable Mention as attorneys, with Maasdam receiving multiple nominations. 

Emily Humeston, Kailan Ethell, Aleksa Pettyjon and Alex Swanson received All-State Honorable Mention as witnesses with Humeston and Swanson receiving multiple nominations.

The Knoxville High School Mock Trial Team qualified for State for the sixth year in a row after placing fourth place at Regionals in Marshalltown.
