The Indianola School Board appointed members to the District Reconsideration Committee at their meeting Tuesday, the committee that will review materials for appropriate content in schools. Superintendent Ted Ihns tells KNIA News the process the reconsideration committee will use to review materials.

“The Reconsideration Committee comes along if someone were to question what materials we are using either in the media center or the classroom. What we do is there is a committee we put together, currently it’s made up of three community members, two students, a faculty member, and a district administrator. What their task will be is to read the material, go through the material, and determine if it is appropriate for students to use either in the library or classroom.”
