Pleasantville Girls Track and Field 3rd at Central Decatur, Boys 15th at Saydel
The Pleasantville girls track and field team finished in third place at Central Decatur’s Guy Clark Relays with 93.5 points, while the boys squad came in 15th place at the Saydel Invitational with 14 points.
The Pleasantville girls were led by Alex Blackford’s first place finish in the 200 meter dash (27.62). Blackford also claimed second place in the long jump (16’0.75”). The Trojans got additional second place finishes from Sophia Mason in the 100 meter hurdles (17.37) and the 4×100 meter relay team of Danika Park, Blackford, Mason, Lauren Furnal (52.41).
In a field filled with several Class 3A teams, the Pleasantville boys posted one top five finish at Saydel. Ryan Clement came in fifth place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.38 seconds.

The Trojans boys and girls track and field teams will join back up for their next meet on Monday at Van Meter.
Pleasantville Girls Golf Wins Home Quad Meet
The Pleasantville girls golf team hosted Carlisle, PCM, and Melcher-Dallas Thursday for a quad at Pleasantville Golf and Country and claimed the top spot among the four teams. The Trojans shot a 205 in the meet, led by Leah Adreon carding a 50. Emily Roe and Delaney Harvey each shot a 51 and Chloe Rankin rounded out the scoring with a 53. Pleasantville next competes in another quad meet on Monday at Pella Country Club against Knoxville, Pella, and PCM.
