Applications to serve on the vacant Indianola City Council seat are open now to Indianola residents. The seat is one of the two at-large positions on the council, which means any resident of any ward is eligible to apply. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News what he feels the best qualities of a council member can be.

“You have to have a love for the community. You want to serve, you have good integrity and the love for the community permeates through. And second you have to have no conflict of interest. A lot of people want to run because they have a special interest in a certain area and it might become self-serving. So as long as you are putting it for the right purpose and the right motive behind it, anyone can be trained the skills.”

The deadline to apply is April 26th. Find a link to apply below.
