Knoxville Girls Tennis Falls To Pella

The Knoxville Girls Tennis Squad was swept in a makeup match by Pella on Friday at the Joel Tonda Tennis Courts 9-0. The Panthers lost all six singles matches in straight sets with the closest being at #6 as Mackenzie Karr lost 7-5, 6-4. Panthers Coach Nick DeMoss tells KNIA/KRLS Sports they are getting into the busiest part of the season, and while he would like to work on things at practice, playing in matches may be what his team needs most.

DeMoss: “Game experience is almost just as valuable than practice. Getting these girls that experience in match play is important and then you can work on those areas in practice.”

Knoxville is back at it Monday and it does not get any easier as the Panthers will travel to Eagle Lane in Pella to face Pella Christian.
