Two organizations operating out of Knoxville closed their doors Monday, April 10. Both organizations have run out of funds according to Pastor Brent Hanna. The two organizations hope to reopen in the future if funds become available. According to Hanna it would take at the minimum, at least $2,000 for each group to open up again.

Salvation Army is best known for bell ringing at Christmas time. Hanna said it wasn’t a good year for doing that this year. Volunteers are tougher to get and they had a period of extremely cold weather in the winter, forcing them to close early.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors is an organization that helps assist people with their utility bills.
