Pella Christian Boys Track and Field 2nd at BGM, Girls 4th at EBF
The Pella Christian boys track and field team took second place at the Bear Trax Classic Tuesday night with 101 team points, while the girls track and field team was fourth at the EBF Eddy Relays with 89 points.
Placing in the top three of events for the Pella Christian boys track and field team were:

Eagles Boys Golf Claims Second Round of the LHC Meet
After a slight let down at the Dutch Masters this past weekend, the Pella Christian boys golf team bounced back to take the top spot in the second round of the Little Hawkeye Conference meet Tuesday.
The Eagles, who won the first round of the meet by 19 strokes, shot a 333 and topped second place Oskaloosa by 10 strokes. Isaiah Breems led the way for Pella Christian, claiming medalist honors after shooting a 77. Eliot Menninga finished in fifth place after carding an 81, while Dane Geetings also placed in the top 10, coming in seventh with an 84. Deacon Branderhorst, Cooper Spronk, and Landon Fransman rounded out the scoring for the Eagles with all three athletes posting a 91.
The Pella Christian boys golf team next competes in the PCM Invitational at Gateway Recreation Golf Course on Monday.

Pella Christian Tennis Teams Fall to Norwalk
The Class 1A #8 ranked Pella Christian girls tennis team dropped their first match of the spring at Norwalk Tuesday 8-3, while back on Eagle Lane the Eagle boys lost to the Warriors 10-1.
In Norwalk, the Pella Christian girls won two doubles matches and one singles match. The lone win in singles play came from Sydeny Van Arendonk with a 6-1, 6-3 decision at #3. The #1 doubles team of Katy Roose and Van Arendonk were 6-3, 7-6 winners, while Claire Vander Molen and Rachael Lanferman won their #2 doubles match 6-4, 6-3.
Back on Eagle Lane, the Pella Christian boys hung tough with the Warriors but couldn’t pick up more than one victory in the match. The Eagles lone win came in a tiebreaking set at #6 singles as Rob Schreur won 4-6, 6-3, 10-8.
The Pella Christian girls tennis team fell to 5-1, while the boys sit at 6-2 on the spring. Both teams are back in action Thursday against Indianola, with the girls being on the road again and the boys hosting.

Eagles Boys Soccer Defeated in Ranked Showdown
The Class 1A #10 ranked Pella Christian boys soccer team couldn’t keep up with Class 3A #4 Dallas Center-Grimes Tuesday night, falling 9-0.
The Mustangs scored a minute and half into the contest and continued to grow their lead from there. DCG kept the pressure on the Eagles, adding three goals in the first half. After the intermission, the Mustangs scored their fifth goal just 52 second into the second half, before tacking on four more goals to drop Pella Christian to 2-4 on the spring.
Up next for the Eagle boys soccer squad is a home matchup with Indianola on Tuesday April 25th.
