The Friends of Big Rock Park are sponsoring several activities this spring. The following will take place in the park on the north side of Pella:

April 23 at 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 pm (rain date of April 30th at 1:00 p.m.): Paulina Mena, Ph.D., Central College, Session on native bees

April 29 at 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 am: Russ Benedict, Ph.D., Central College, Session on migratory birds

April 29 at 1:00 – 3:00 pm: Marla Mertz, Marion County Conservation and Kristin Siewert, Central College, Session on butterflies and dragonflies

May 20: 9:00 – 11:00 am: Cathy Haustein, Ph.D. and Nicole Palenske, Ph.D., Central College, Water testing and survey for amphibians and reptiles
