The Indianola boys tennis team finished with a 4-1 record in the Little Hawkeye Conference last season, only falling to Pella while defeating rivals Grinnell, Norwalk, Newton, and Oskaloosa. The Indians lost nearly every athlete from the varsity roster last season, but are still on track to attempt to match the second place regular season spot in the standings, having already defeated Oskaloosa, Newton, and Pella Christian. Head coach Jamie Busby said the early part of the season showed the program’s depth, as the former JV players stepped up and continued the strong showing. The Indians still have to match up with Grinnell and Norwalk, in addition to the first-ever season from the newly formed Dallas Center-Grimes team.
