The Knoxville Nationals made the USA Today’s 10 Best List for Best Motorsports Race.

For more than 60 years, the Knoxville Nationals has been turning Sprint Car drivers into motorsport legends and providing fans with one of the most unique event experiences. Because of that, fans voted the Knoxville Nationals third on USA Today’s 10 Best Readers Choice list for Best Motorsports Race, behind only the Indianapolis 500 and Formula 1’s U.S. Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas.

Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch tells KNIA/KRLS News, “We are thrilled to hear the Knoxville Nationals has made the list of top 10 Motorsports races in North America. I think it says so much for our raceway, their staff, our community and all the fans that come here to enjoy what we consider the best dirt track racing in the world. I would say congratulations to the Knoxville Raceway and we couldn’t be more proud to have them here in Knoxville.”

Brad Sweet, four-time and reigning World of Outlaws champion and 2018 Knoxville Nationals champion said he thinks Knoxville separates itself from every other event, due to the fact of where it is at and the history behind the event and everything that goes on in the little town of Knoxville during the week.
