A signing day was held for 30 new apprenticeship students with WorkSmart Connector Wednesday at Pella High School. Pella, Pella Christian, Twin Cedars, and Melcher-Dallas are represented in this class, and high school students will be working and training with 22 area employers over the next academic year in programs sponsored by WorkSmart, DMACC, and the Career Academy of Pella. Since 2018, 94 students from area high schools have participated in the “earn while you learn” program that also includes some college credits and certifications.
Four of the students were featured on Let’s Talk Pella earlier this week.
