Three new police officers in Marion County graduated from the latest class of the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy. Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy Jake VanVoorst and Pella Police Officers Mya Irlmeier and Shawn Mason are now ready for patrol after the 16-week course that includes classes about physical fitness, driving, defensive tactics, firearms, and more.
