The Iowa House and Senate came to an agreement on the final state budget numbers last week in the Iowa Legislature, with work now beginning in committees for final budgets for the various state departments. State Representative Brooke Boden tells KNIA News she is glad they can start work in committee, and she will continue to push for a priority of hers all session long.

“One of my main concerns from the beginning has been nursing home funding. I want to make sure we are doing everything we can to make sure that our elderly care and those who can’t take care of themselves, that they are getting the funding they need to get those resources in nursing homes. We know we have a work shortage and everything we can do to bring attention to that matter is dear to my heart and something I’m watching as it moves forward.”
