It’ll be a busy Thursday for the spring sports teams at PCM, as the golf, track and field, and boys soccer teams are in action.
Off of a first-place finish in the home invitational on Monday, the Mustangs boys golf team is set to compete in the Moravia Invite this afternoon at The Preserve at Honey Creek. The PCM girls golfers are hoping to improve on Monday’s fourth place finish at Chariton’s Charger Invite, hosting seven schools in their home tournament at Gateway Recreation Golf Course. The Mustangs track and field teams will split up for their meets tonight. The PCM girls track and field team makes the road trip to Carlisle for the Wildcat Relays, while the boys squad hosts six schools in their home invite. Wrapping up the evening’s events, the Mustangs boys soccer team travels to James W. Cownie Soccer Park in Des Moines for their only match this week against Grand View Christian.
The PCM boys golf team competes at 10 a.m. in the Moravia Invite, while the girls golf tournament begins at 1 p.m. The Wildcat Relays for the Mustangs girls track and field team is scheduled to start at 4:15 p.m., and the PCM Boys Invite begins at 4:30 p.m. The Mustangs boys soccer game in Des Moines concludes the night’s events at 5 p.m.
