The Knoxville High School Baccalaureate is set for Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center.

Knoxville’s entire senior class, all 115 students, are invited to take part in the event. The ceremony is faith based, and will include music, prayer, a scripture reading, reflections and introductions of the senior class.

Knoxville Class President Norah Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS News, “In the Baccalaureate ceremony you can expect a lot of different things. People in the senior class who wanted to help with this event were able to participate in many different areas. So we have greeters and ushers, we have people who are playing music and singing songs. There’s really a lot of talented musicians, singers and performers in our grade and I’m super excited to see them and their talents highlighted in that.”

The students will have an opportunity to discuss their plans after high school when they are introduced to the stage. Helping to organize the event are Pastor Brent Hanna and teacher Rhonda Douglas. Hanna will handle the senior introductions.
