The Indianola boys and girls soccer and tennis teams all competed Thursday.
The Indians tennis teams dominated against Dallas Center-Grimes, the girls sweeping 11-0 and the boys winning 9-2. The girls singles winners included Audra Dowler, Keely Greubel, Carmen Christensen, Zoey Belt, Emily Allen, and Ceris Askelson, while the doubles duos of Dowler/Askelson, Maren Haynes/Faith Mahlstadt, Audrey Troutman/Allen, Maci Lerseth/Lauren Danielson, and Paige Dahl/Hailey Woerderman. The boys earned singles wins from Joe Comer, Michael Rothchild, Erik Jensen, Nate Winjum, and Justus Woell, while the doubles teams of Comer/Rothchild, Jensen/Kael Christensen, Eli Chadwick/Tate Dales, and Kinnick Werling/Ben Mahlstadt earned wins. Both teams don’t have long turnarounds, they play Norwalk this afternoon.
The Indianola girls soccer team dominated Des Moines Lincoln at the Cownie Soccer Complex in Des Moines, winning 7-1. The Indians got four goals in the first half, with Isabelle Crookes scoring twice, Lauren Burk, and Rylee Burnsfinding the back of the net, while Remy Sivertsen, Anna Brandt, and another from Rylee Burns scored in the second half.
The Indians boys fell 5-0 to Dallas Center Grimes in conference play. The girls are now 4-3 on the season and next play tomorrow in a tournament at Urbandale, while the boys drop to 4-7 and host Southeast Polk tomorrow.
