The Melcher-Dallas Boys and Girls Track and Field Squads went their separate ways on Thursday as the girls went to Clarke for the Murr Invitational while the boys were at the PCM Invitational. The girls finished in a tie for 4th place and had top finishes from Addi Wadle winning the 800 with a time of 2:56.78. Hailey Stegman finished 2nd in the 3000 in a time of 12:54.41 which was a personal record, while 3rd place medals went to Gabby Overgaard in the 200 with a time of :30.62, Kianna Jackson in the 1500 with a time of 7:23.71 and Maddy DeJong in the long jump with a leap of 14-7.75 inches which was also a PR. The distance medley team of Summer Karpan, Overgaard, Wadle, and Stegman placed 3rd in a time of 5:16.23. Meanwhile in Monroe the Saints boys placed 7th with top finishes coming from Owen Suntken in the 110 hurdles placing 3rd in a time of :16.16 and Logan Godfrey with third place medals in the high jump at 6/0, and the long jump with a leap of 19-8 inches. Both Saints squads will turn their attention to the Bluegrass Conference Meet Tuesday at Lamoni.
