PCM Boys Track and Field 2nd at Home Invite, Girls 10th at Wildcat Relays
The PCM boys track and field team claimed second place at their home invitational Thursday night with 135 team points, while the girls squad finished in tenth with 24 points at Carlisle’s Wildcat Relays.
The Mustangs boys track and field team had 11 top three finishes in individual and relay events, and those included:
Shot Put – Mark Bussan (43’8”), Kaden Clark (42’5”), Joel Greiner (40’7”) – 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Sprint Medley Relay – Adrien Robbins, Jacob Wendt, Gabe Hobbs, Caden Bouwkamp (1:40.69) – 1st
4×100 Meter Relay – Gavin Fenton, Gabe Hobbs, Jacob Wendt, August Stock (45.30) – 1st
4×200 Meter Relay – Evan Jones, Adrien Robbins, Griffin Olson, Gabe Hobbs (1:35.02) – 1st
Shuttle Hurdle Relay – Gavin Fenton, Griffin Olson, August Stock, Gavin VanGorp (1:04.56) – 2nd
100 Meter – Evan Jones (11.51) – 3rd
400 Meter – Caden Bouwkamp (53.76) – 3rd
400 Meter Hurdles – Griffin Olson (1:00.12) – 3rd
Boys 4×800 Meter Relay – Carson Hansen, Joe Shaver, Riley Graber, Gavin DeRaad (9:10.06) – 3rd

The PCM girls track and field squad had three top five finishers in Carlisle. Ayla Barrett won the high jump by clearing the bar at 4’10”. Tiffani Koonce and Abi Teeter were the other top five finishers, taking fifth in one event each. Koonce recorded a time of 1:04.50 in the 400 meter dash, while Teeter posted a time of 5:26.89 in the 1500 meter run. Find full results of the Wildcat Relays here.
Both of the PCM track and field teams next compete at the North Polk Co-Ed Comet Invitational on Monday.

PCM Boys Golf 4th at Moravia, Girls Golf 7th in Home Tournament
The PCM boys golf team shot a 323 Thursday in the Moravia Invite to finish in fifth place out of 20 teams, while the Mustangs girls golfers finished in 7th place at their home tournament with a team score of 482.
Missing their top three golfers, the PCM boys were led by Tate Tangeman with a 78. Pete Kiernen wasn’t far behind Tangeman with a 79, while Charlie Ford posted an 82. Nick Farver and Gavin Steenhoek rounded out the scoring for the Mustangs with an 84 and an 88 respectively.
The PCM girls, who were without their top two golfers, were led by Gretchen Uitermarkt with a 113. Emilyn Davis was right on Uitermarkt’s heels with a 114, while Meredith Chipps and Brelee Berger completed the scoring for the Mustangs with a 124 and 131 respectively.
The PCM boys golfers are back in action today in a triangular against Knoxville and Chariton at Pine Knolls Golf Club at 4 p.m. The Mustangs girls golf team is off until Monday, when they also compete in a triangular at Pine Knolls Golf Club against Knoxville and Saydel.

PCM Boys Soccer Falls at Grand View Christian
The PCM boys soccer team came out on the wrong side of a 2-0 decision on the road Thursday night at Grand View Christian. In their only game of the week, the Mustangs surrendered a goal in each half en route to falling to 3-7 on the spring. The PCM boys soccer squad will try to get back in the win column on Monday when they travel to Greene County.
