Knoxville Boys Golfers Shoot Lowest Score In 3 Years
The Knoxville Boys Golf Squad shot their lowest score in three years as the Panthers posted a 144 to win a home triangular over PCM and Chariton. The Panthers were led by Evan Smith, who shot a one under 34 for medallist honors while Carson Uitermarkt and Kail Arkema tied for runner up both shooting a 36. Other scores turned in by Knoxville were Brady Roozeboom with a 38, Beau Leisure had a 39, and Noah Keefer turned in a 40. Knoxville will get back on the Pine Knolls course today as the Panthers host their own invitational. The Panthers will be joined by six other teams including Pella, Pella Christian and PCM from the area.
Knoxville Boys Soccer Falls In PKs To Grinnell
For the third time this season, the Knoxville Boys Soccer Squad played a full 80:00 plus 20:00 of overtime and had to decide a match on penalty kicks, unlike the first two times, the Panthers walked away disappointed as they fell to Grinnell 1-0 after losing the penalty kick shootout 5-4. Knoxville is now 7-4 on the season and will travel to Centerville on Tuesday.
